Property is part of the Web Series which disrupts the intended messages found in printed artifacts through the application of vintage lace and thread. The printed artifacts are collected from vintage magazines, advertisements, and pamphlets that have messaging about what a woman should be and how to behave. Combining the technique of sewing with the collaged paper is meant to demonstrate the fragility of these notions in our contemporary world—how women, men and the LGBTQIA2S+ communities are pushing against these notions in different ways.
