This work is part of the Sticks & Stones Series. This series looks at slang used to describe women from all generations. The words are hand cut from Japanese paper and are stitched onto the photograph. Some of the titles of the  works in the Sticks & Stones series are taken from the  written inscriptions found on the photos themselves (either on the front or the back). All of the photos have been rescued from second hand shops and vintage stores. I see this project as a way to give these women new life, new meaning, and perhaps speak to more women through this project.
